How it works

DraftXI has no in-match controls. You build a team, then the season simulates itself — your job is to draft well and enjoy the ride.

1. 1

   Pick mode & franchise

   Choose Easy (ratings shown) or Hard (ratings hidden), then choose which of the 10 IPL franchises you want to take over. Your drafted XI replaces their squad in the league.

2. 2

   Spin the wheel

   Each spin shows 5 random players with their team, role and eligible batting positions. Pick one to slot into your order. You get 3 re-rolls; if none of the 5 can fit your open slots, you get a free re-spin.

3. 3

   Build a legal XI

   Fill all 11 slots. You can move a player to any other slot they’re eligible for. Your team needs at least 1 wicketkeeper and at least 5 bowlers/all-rounders before you can start.

4. 4

   Play the season

   Your 18 league matches are simulated ball-by-ball — watch the over strip and live scorecard. Every other match is simulated instantly. Win for 2 points, tie for 1, and climb the table (net run rate breaks ties).

5. 5

   Win the playoffs

   Finish in the top 4 to reach the playoffs: Qualifier 1, Eliminator, Qualifier 2 and the Final. Lift the trophy, then see the season’s top run-scorers and wicket-takers.
